Wohoo! So stoked to finally be able to show you this awesome inspired shoot!! Today our Kentucky Derby Inspiration shoot was featured in the Wedding Chicks!! Aww! Dreeeammm!!

I am so excited and proud of this amazing team!! Working with them was such a joy and truly so much fun. When I first sat down with the always sweet (and crazy talented) Cassandra from Ever After Vintage Weddings, to discuss the ideas we had for the shoot, she blew my mind with her attention to detail and creative ideas! I told her to go for it, she could bring the ideas and I would photograph them- lol! She joined forces with Jen from Bourbon and Blush events and together they made our vision a reality in a gorgeous way!! What a pair of talented ladies!

The shoot is inspired by good ole hospitality, elegance and charm!  It’s about the elegant southern bride whose taste is driven to neutral colors and soft florals and loves the feel and excitement of the Kentucky Derby! The venue of Rocking H Ranch was a perfect setting, being that our shoot was a Derby themed, this horse ranch couldn’t be a better fit! Big hats and Mint juleps were passed around during the cocktail hour as the guest waited for the bride and groom to arrive in their perfect antique car…

The bride decided to wear a gorgeous flower as a representation of what would have been her big hat, which paired up perfectly with her elegant open back illusion dress from Malindy Elene Bridal. The carousel horse we painted in gold to match the feel of this wedding served as a card holder and fit just right in this reception decor.
