For their first date, Kayla and Shaun headed down to St. Petersburg to see one of the city’s parades. They walked, talked and held hands for the first time while eating at a small restaurant there. They both had a great time but as the date ended and they went to say their goodbyes, they found out that Kayla had apparently parked in a non-visitor spot and had her car had been towed!!

They spent the rest of the date tracking down her car and running around all over town. By the end of the night, after finding Kayla’s car, in the middle of the night and in an empty parking lot- Kayla and Shaun had their first dance.  In their own words, “It was the first of many memorable dates”.

That kind of romance is what makes me a complete mushball inside. I loved these two and hanging out with them during their engagement session last weekend. Capturing their beaming smiles and looks of sheer happiness (not to mention the guitar serenade!)  kept the hopeless romantic in me in cloud nine the whole afternoon. I can’t wait until their wedding day this fall!
