| Captiva Island Wedding |
She was going to run the NYC Half marathon! She had trained for 12 weeks with Joe by her side every day, pushing her, supporting her and being her biggest cheerleader. Having run a 1/2 marathon before, Joe knew what to expect but for Elvira this was a true challenge. When the day finally came, she was excited and a bit nervous…this was going to be a good day!
Elvira ran longer and harder than she had ever ran before. She pushed past the thoughts that she may not make it and made the once thought impossible task, possible. After 2 hours and 20 minutes, she made it! She had finished the race! First thing she wanted to do was see Joe- after all, the best celebrations are nothing if not shared with your best friend! When she met up with him, the excitement grew even bigger! She had just finished 13.1 miles and she did it along side the love of her life. This day couldn’t possibly get any better…or so she thought!!
After 4 years, 6 months and 1 half marathon, Elvira saw Joe- her best friend and love of her life- kneel down in the middle of a crowded New York City Marathon finish line and pull a ring out of his pocket. Kneeling down right along with him and with tears of happiness running down her face, she said YES!!
And THAT ladies and gentlemen, is really-The best day ever!!
Elvira and Joe’s wedding was one of the most beautiful weddings ever. Not because of the location or the flowers or even the decor but because of the amazing display of love and family. Coming from all over the country, their closest friends and family members joined at the beautiful Bali Hi Estate in Captiva Island for one of the most touching and emotional celebrations ever!
It was an honor to be present to capture the love and happiness of this day! Joe and Elvirita (how I know her ) are one of the loveliest and sweetest couples out there and I couldn’t be happier to share a bit of their day with you now!

Not a dry eye in the room beach! The love felt and shared during these moments of the ceremony were overwhelming…
even to a certain photographer.
As the Henry (bride’s brother) put it best : “It’s not everyday you get to officiate your little sister’s wedding”
…but even with all those happy tears…there was even more laughter and JOY!
