Last year…before this insanity began….We were lucky enough to take a dream trip to Italy! We stayed in Florence (what an amazing city- history, culture, art, charm, all of it) and took day trips to Rome and the Tuscan countryside. Here’s a few of my favorite pictures from our trip ????????
The ceiling fresco paintings are some of the MOST fascinating an incredible masterpieces! It’s even more mind blowing when you realize how high they are….the picture on the right is the inside of the dome from the picture on the left (known as the Piazza del Duomo)
“The David” by Michelangelo
The Vatican- one of the busiest, most touristic places we went…Impressive to say the least! Packed like literal sardines we walked shuffled through the palace maze surrounded by GOLD walls, GOLD ceilings, marbled floors and ancient, priceless tapestries everywhere. Some of the longest hallways I’ve ever seen, filled with artwork and statues…
On the left: Long hallways filled with gold artwork | On the right: “The Pieta” by Michelangelo
I snuck a cellphone picture on the right of the famous “The Creation of Adam” in the Sistine Chapel’s ceiling.
The security was SO STRICT about any photography being taken that it was a ninja move- hence the blurriness (sorry not sorry ????)
We took an Italian cooking class from an authentic Italian mama/insanely talented chef in her countryside cottage and it was INCREDIBLE! The best food I’ve ever tasted and I now know how to make pasta from scratch! (which would be way more interesting if I cooked! lol)
The Tuscan countryside was one of the TOP moments for me from this trip! These little towns are the definition of charming! Below: Montalcino, Tuscany
We found this incredible flower field during our ride across the countryside, near Val d’Orcia, Tuscany…
I had to make Doug run through it with- and after some convincing we have this masterpiece….lol He’s my person you guys ❤️

We ended our trip with some Tripod Selfies 😉
Some BTS of me going insane with pictures…because Italy!
