|Ybor City wedding |
From the Romance to the surprises throughout the day- this wedding was amazing! Camilo and Arlene were married in the beautiful and historic Ybor city almost 4 years to the day from the day they met!
Meeting at a dance, it was one of those moments that from the minute they spoke to one another, a flame was lit…a knowing that this meeting was different and that their world would forever be changed by it. As they describe it: ” What started out as a chance encounter between two, has blossomed into an unexpectedly incredibly relationship based upon respect, similar values and love….” and spending the day with Arlene and Camilo, I witnessed first hand that love. It was in the moments filled with smiles, hugs anytime they were near one another and that look ,you know, the one that speaks many words and can only be described as sheer happiness, passion and Love.
Their intimate and sweet ceremony was held in the Centennial Park in Ybor City and it was the perfect setting for the romantic couple that Arlene and Camilo are. Surrounded by their closest friends and family, they spoke their personally written vows, shedding some tears of joy with many moments of laughter in between. (And of course who could forget “Candy” the flower girl)
Their reception, held at the beautiful 1930 Grande Room and amazingly decorated by Dream House Productions, was filled with all kinds of surprises and a TON of fun!! One of the craziest and most exciting moments was when “Rocky” (USF mascot) came in to surprise Camilo as gift from his new wife. Camilo a self admitted USF Bulls FANatic to the CORE was besides himself!! (along with most of the guests) It was so much fun to capture his excitement and surprise- and the look and hug he gave Arlene when he realized who the gift was from, left me beside myself!
Two of the sweetest I know are married!! We had the honor of capturing their day and here’s a snippet of a few of my favorites …enjoy!

Tell me something you love about Camilo?
“I love Camilo’s eyes, they are a gateway that transport me to the most peaceful and loving place I’ve ever been.
I love his warm soul and how expressive he is. He grabs and kisses my hand at the most unexpected moments …and he always makes me feel loved, appreciated, and admired.”
This bridal party was so much fun to hang with!
To close out the night, the newlyweds brought in the wonderful Mariachi Juvenil, who provided excellent music and entertainment…as well as the couple’s last dance.
Tell me just one thing that’s exciting about marrying your fiancee?
“The world will constantly be in flux around us, but (we) will continue being two independent souls that are travelling at parallel speeds and tracks toward greater intimacy.
The most important part about our journey is that we’ll be sharing and enjoying it together.”
Arlene and Camilo: We love you guys! We had way too much fun with you and were truly honored to be there to capture your beautiful wedding day! Wishing you a lifetime of love, laughter and happiness!
