Located inside the iconic Parque del Retiro, La Rosaleda (or Rose Garden) is easily one of the most beautiful places I’ve experienced in Madrid so far. Every May, the rose garden comes into full bloom, turning this part of Retiro Park into what honestly feels like a dream for anyone who loves photography, flowers, or simply wandering through beautiful places.
I spent this past Tuesday walking through the gardens with my camera and was so glad I brought it with me because I ended up photographing practically every different variety of rose they had. The light, the colors, and the calmness of the garden made it such an inspiring afternoon to photograph. As a photographer in Madrid, moments and places like this continue to inspire me creatively in so many ways.
I stayed until they closed the park and was literally one of the last people to leave… they almost had to drag me out 😅 Honestly though, are we surprised?
